I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and I studied graphic Design. I write, illustrate and publish children books.

Since I remember, I like books and images, and that’s the reason why I decided to start doing what I like at my own independent publishing house called GatoMalo (BadCat), in 2005.

I have worked alone in most of my projects, but I really love to work with people, and together with my friend and colleague Luis Fernando García, we made three books, for GatoMalo and for an Indian publishing house called Katha. I currently work as a professor at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, and as freelance illustrator.

I work in GatoMalo as Editor, Illustrator, Writer, Graphic Designer and as an accountant assistant, janitor, or even as a delivery boy.
